“In a good book the best is between the lines”. –Swedish Proverb

I am a bookworm but I am not really into signed books until I have read books of Mitch Albom. Actually I have watched the movie Tuesdays with Morrie first before reading the book. After that I feel in love on all his books. All his writing is really moving.

I’m here to see Mitch Albom and let him signed my book

Today – like, while writing this blogpost I am in the middle of these bookworms here in Ayala Center Cebu Activity Center, patiently waiting for Mitch Albom to be on stage talk about his books and of course have our books signed and some photo op.

Young and Old, we book lovers are gathered just to meet one author that through his writing touch our lives. Did I tell you that I just hear someone saying “This is a once in a lifetime event” and I couldn’t agree more. If not now, the chances of meeting Mitch is pretty slim.

I hear people screaming now so our loved author has arrived so xiao for now.

3:25pm

The interview has ended and it was so nice hearing from him his motivation about writing each books. On the other note almost every now and then bibliophiles are cheering especially when he shares his experience with Morrie and just everything he says people just cheer and clap.

Another very good thing in Mitch visit to the Philippines is he is partnering with national bookstore to help Yolanda victims. They are giving out 20 fishing boats and will be building 10 school libraries and want to hear the coolest part – he called some author friends to mention a few John Green, John Grisham, Stephen King, Stephanie Meyers and J.K. Rowling to donate some books to the libraries and they all confirmed to give books as well as signed books to each 10 libraries.

Mitch Albom Signed my book The First Phone Call from Heaven

I’m here for this and to see Mitch Albom 🙂

3:48pm

Book signing has started and as of this time it’s still no. 81-100 and my number is 656 and yes I have no plans of going unless I have my book signed and have a photo of him. Battery check is 33% so I better pause this writing and will continue after I have a close photo of him.

6:37pm

My estimate is right and I’m currently now in line for the opportunity to have a photo with Mitch Albom and have my book The First Phone Call from Heaven signed. Mitch Albom’s books are really for all ages, I just saw a grandpa in his crane having a photo op with Mitch.

3. Don’t be afraid to go alone, chances are you will be meeting book enthusiast like you and meet new friends.

4. Be friends with your seat mate.

5. Be patient and enjoy the moment.

6. Bring a book that you can read while waiting, unless you’re planning to meet new friends.
