Traveling is one exciting activity I love to do. I love to travel to see places, learn a new culture, and meet new people. I promise to myself to savor the beauty of the Philippines and share it with you guys. Here is a complete guide of my ever first land trip in the Philippines including several side trips along the way and of course all in different posts each.
What is land trip?
A land trip is traveling through any land transportation. In the case of our country, the Philippines that consists of various islands, riding a boat is considered a part of a long land trip.
This is the final post of my crossing the border in my 26th birthday series. I left you in the last post where in we reach the border of Aranyaprathet.
How to cross Cambodia from Thailand?
We reach the border around 1:00 in the afternoon. Like other tourists, we walk straight to Thailand immigration for our passport stamp. I thought it would be just an easy line but it turned out to be one long and humid line. My tip for you when you are planning to land trip cross country is bring a lot of water and patience with you because you will be in line for more than an hour. Also try not to cross border from Thailand to Cambodia on weekends because Thai goes to the border to gamble making the line much longer.

To start off this article let me share to you the town where I came from. I am a native of Bohol particularly in the town of Jagna found in the East side of Bohol and an hour drive from the City of Tagbilaran. Like any other towns in the province, people basic means of living are farming and fishing. There are also few who made the very delicious and famous calamay in which many say is the most delicious among other makers in the province. Young Jagnaanon professionals are scattered not just in the country but all over the globe aiming to alleviate the status of their family.
Election is fast approaching and we cannot hide the fact that Philippine politics is a topnotch dirty event in our country and even small towns in the farthest provinces of the Philippines is highly infected, and vote buying is the virus that eats each voters then rots up until the fruits that their grand children bears. Lucky to us, the people of Jagna that we have one leader who stand to kill this virus.
It was one lazy Saturday afternoon and I was texting with my cousin Maitha about a summer getaway we are planning for the family. I mentioned her some tentative dates which are April 27 or 28 2013 but then she refuses for the reason that she has plans for the said date together with an aunt on her dad’s side. I’m a cousin to her mom’s side. They will be watching a Dragon Boat contest somewhere in Tagbilaran and I was like, okay a dragon boat contest in Bohol.

Summer is the most favorite season of most of us here, where in beach is just like a throw stone away and bikinis and surfboard shorts are like casual wear. Well in my part like any beach-bum like you the whole year round is summer, well blame it to global warming when even December’s as hot and humid as May.
Last year I told you how excited and happy I am to be a part of a startup Central Visayas base Lifestyle and Leisure Magazine as a writer contributor.

I went to Baguio together with some Cebu and Manila based bloggers for the BX3 Tour “Bloggers Baguio Benguet Appreciation Tour” to witness Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival 2013 and to visit the many attractions of the city of Pines.
We stayed at Azalea Residences Baguio, a hotel at the center of Baguio City located at Leonard Wood Road, Baguio City. The hotel is a 5 minutes’ walk from Northern Gate of Teacher’s Village ( it’s just across it), 10-15 minutes drive (including traffic) from session road, SM Baguio and Burnham Park.
