There are so many things to do in Myanmar and on top of the list is visiting the various Hindu temples and structures in the country which vary from city to city. You can go to Bagan for old brick massive temples, Mandalay for white stupas, and Yangon for the highly acclaimed ones.
Being overwhelm of the beautiful temples and stupas is normal and not to be ashamed of. Even I was engulfed of the temples in Myanmar. Good thing, my friend decided that we take a break from temple-hopping and get some fresh air 100km away northeast of Mandalay.
Bagan is an ancient city in Myanmar. There are about over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas, and monasteries built between the 11th and 13th centuries in the city. Presently there are over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive.
In addition to living life to the fullest, I went to another backpacking trip with babe and friends. This time we visited the beautiful South East Asia countries of Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore. What I love about this trip is I get to see a first world country – Singapore, second world country – Malaysia, and third world country – Myanmar.
