From the Deepest Sea to the Highest Peak. My dear hometown, Jagna in Bohol has recently been buzzing in Bohol’s tourism arena. We have a shipwreck and biodiversity-rich ocean which is perfect for diving – it may be snorkeling, deep sea diving, or free diving.
We have Bohol hiking trails that are famous and are yet to be discovered. From Mt. Matunog in Mayana which is the highest peak in Bohol that is just right for day hiking or camping in Bohol. Now, we also discovered a delightful trail, ideal for a solid six to seven-hour day hike for long trail hiking enthusiasts like yours truly.
Everyone knows that Bohol has it all in terms of natural tourist spots from beautiful white sand beaches, waterfalls, small primates, adventure parks, rice terraces, and sand bars. But it looks like that the island of Bohol has more to offer. Just recently another nature treat has opened, situated in the eastern part are irresistible panoramic rolling hills – Binabaje Hills: The Alicia Panoramic Park.

Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World owner Mr. Jan Yngvar Kolsto and Mrs. Ann Dulogan Kolsto converted this 3.2-hectare farmland into a beautiful park that caters famous statues and structures from around the world mirrored into a scaled-down version that is inspired by the couples travel.
I am lucky to live in such a beautiful province and experiencing most of its beauty makes me more than blessed. Bohol is one of the must visit places for first-time travelers in the Philippines and let me share to you one of the reasons why it is a must to visit Bohol.
About Danao
Danao is a 4th income class municipality in Bohol and located 95km northeast of Tagbilaran City. It has 17 barangays and according to last 2015 census, it has a population of 17,890. The basic source of income in the town is farming.
Together with amazing natural wonders like the Alicia Panoramic Hills and beautiful beaches, the Philippines is also rich in spectacular sandbars. It is owned by a German national Hans Schoof, and her Filipina wife Lanie Schoof a native from Alburquerque Bohol. The owner’s son Frederick Christian Schoof manages the resort.
