Each of us dreams to travel the world and see those iconic landmarks around the globe. Who would not want to glimpse the Eiffel tower or hear the ticking of Big Ben or witness the greatness of Taj Mahal. Luckily there have been many replications of these famous landmarks that allow us to at least observe what these renowned structures look like.
Sands Gateway Mall Danao
Recently Danao City in Cebu has opened its newest lifestyle mall which is connected to the latest Danao City Port Terminal. Sands Gateway Mall is the addition to the sprouting number of malls in Danao City. The mall has opened to the public last October 2017 and currently has several numbers of restaurants, and food & beverages kiosk.
The restaurant choices as of this writing include Tongro Korean and Filipino Barbeque (a personal favorite), Hukad, Isla Sugbo, Chicken Deli, Fuel Fusion Kitchen + Bar, and Orange Brutus. The Food and Beverage Kiosk include but are not limited to Moon Shake Café (a personal favorite), Potato Corner, Goldilocks, Lugaw ni Bossing, Jejam’s Takoyaki, Black Pearl, and Master Siomai. Other stalls include a Play Center for kids and a Bazaar Hub on the 2nd floor. Did I mention that there is also a free Zumba session every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Sands Gateway Mall parking area.
As what most lifestyle mall is, the scenery and landscape of the mall are better than other malls in the area. Personally, I have three reasons why I keep on visiting the place. Third, it has wide parking space; second it is located near the sea (besides Danao seaport), and first and foremost it has beautiful structures of famous world landmarks. As of this writing, some of the landmarks are already up but not yet fully done.
Around the Globe Scenery
Below are the famous landmarks that make Sands Gateway Mall different from other lifestyle malls.
Big Ben – The nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the palace of Westminster in London. Before visiting London then let us visit first the Big Ben of Danao.
The windmill – I am not really sure if this windmill is the Oland Windmills of Sweden or the Kinderdijk Windmills of Netherlands but all I know is there is such a beauty to windmills that can’t be resist.
Statue of Liberty – Everyone for sure know this iconic monument with a crown and torch. The Danao Statue of Liberty may do not highly resemble the original but it is close (wink).
Eiffel Tower – Did you know that the Eiffel Tower in Paris is not made for couples nor as a symbol of love but it is built to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution? The tower was named after its designers and bridge builder French engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.
You may also want to visit Bohol Mirror of the World. A 3.2-hectare land made into a beautiful park that caters famous statues and structures from around the world.
Taj Mahal – One of the many places I personally want to see myself before it will close its door to tourists is the Taj Mahal. A tomb to house the favorite wife of Shah Jahan the Mughal Emperor who reigned from 1628 to 1658. Fun fact about the Taj Mahal is it is the jewel of Muslim art in India but is currently claimed as a Hindu Temple.
Leaning Tower of Pisa – Another beautiful structure I wanted to visit is the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and currently ranks second as my favorite Danao World Landmarks after Taj Mahal. Did you know that because of the marshy underlying subsoil in Pisa Italy there are other several towers in Pisa with less prominent tilting issues.
More landmarks are currently built in Sands Gateway Mall and one of it is from the Philippines. Can you guess what Philippine landmark or monument it is? Comment down below.
So if you happen to be around Danao City or you are going or coming to Camotes then take a look at this beautiful structures and drop by at Sands Gateway Mall Danao.
