Tags: Philippines, Places to go to
I was browsing at the photos when I go through the photos taken when I first went to the capital city of the Philippines. As I go over with the pictures I reached one album entitled Enchanted Kingdom. I have realized that I was not able to write the last part of my adventure last December 2010. Though two months has past the memories are still fresh
The last stop of our short trip is at Enchanted Kingdom, it is a theme park and one of the best destinations for leisure’s in the Philippines. It is located 29 kilometers away from Manila and is situated in RSBS Blvd., San Lorenzo South, Balibago, Santa Rosa City, Laguna. We have to ride a bus to get there. I was not able to take pictures along the way because I was asleep.
Together with hubby, KJ, Mei and Anthony we reached Santa Rosa 12 noon so before going straight to Enchanted Kingdom we ate our lunch at the usual kainan ng bayan Jollibee. After eating we went ahead to Enchanted Kingdom, paying 500 php each for an unlimited ride. It turns out that only few rides are free, you need to pay an additional bill to get other rides. We stroll at the different zones of the park and experienced some rides.
The various zones of the park includes the Queen Victoria inspired park, the Victoria Park which show case the elegance of the Queen with the Grand carousel, my all time favorite ride as its main attraction. Another zone is the Portabello, a reproduction of Panama’s Caribbean Sea which features the Rio Grande rapids the largest wet and wild adventure in the park which sadly I was not able to ride and is in the first list when I will be back in Enchanted Kingdom. Other attractions of Portabello zone include 4D Discovery Theater, Flying Fiesta, the haunted attraction Shake, Rattle and Roll and the Xtreme Paintball. The third zone is best for kids because of its prehistoric theme with attractions like the train ride Boulderville Express, teacups Bumbling Boulders, Puppet shows, Triassic Tag and a Stone Egg like Ferris wheel for kids. There is also a Coney Island inspired part called the Midway Boardwalk which caters performances of mime artists, jugglers and clowns. Available in the boardwalk are Pirate Ship Rides, Bumper cars, mini Roller Coaster, and the Drop tower which I wish I have more courage to ride on, the Ferris wheel, Balloon Ride and the Arcade games. My favorite side of the theme park is the Brooklyn Place that is designed after 1940s Brooklyn, New York. Aside from the shopping zone it is here where the Rialto-Simulator Ride can be found. The Spaceport is the zone which I was not able to visit due to minimal time but I believe that there is lots of enjoyable stuff to do in that part of the park. I just had a little look at the Jungle Outpost which is designed after the Amazon jungle. A swan lake and jungle log jam is available but I was not able to try it, maybe next time I will.
As you read I did not completely visit all the places and was not able to experience all the rides because I only had a little time. But still I can say that I really did enjoy the place and I recommend it to every barkadas or family for an outing adventure.
It was already 5:00 in the afternoon so we went back to Manila because hubby and I have a flight to catch up back to Cebu. Indeed those where the trip I will not forget for the rest of my life especially that I have shared it with a special person whom I will cherish forever and good friends for keeps.
