Philippine Red Cross, Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter, Lapu-Lapu City will hold 2nd Red Cross 143: Volunteer Run for Humanity in partnership with the City Government of Lapu-Lapu City. The event will be on November 11, 2012 .
Assembly Time: 4:00 a.m. Gun Start at 4:30 a.m. for 21 K Category; 4:45 a.m. for 12 K Category; 5:00 a.m. for 5 K and 3 K categories and 6:30 a.m. for 500 Meter Kiddy Run. The venue for this event is at Hoopsdome, Lapu-Lapu City. This event is inline with the 2012 City Fiesta Activity. We are inviting everyone to partake and join this event that the Philippine Red Cross, Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter will do for its fund raising events to support the and finance the fast growing needs of the Chapter Operations, Capability Building Enhancement Training Programs for the Chapter Volunteers, 24/7 Ambulance Service Operations and the Disaster Relief Preparedness Program of the Chapter
The Objectives for this event are as follows:
1. To empower the nation against the dangers of disasters by building a Community Based Red Cross 143 Volunteer network;
2. To heighten public awareness to reduce the disaster risks and vulnerability of the community in the interest of saving lives;
3. To recruit Volunteers who will respond to disasters, donate blood and alleviating human suffering;
4. Render assistance to the vulnerable individuals in times of their needs;
5. Increase capacity of individuals in responding to the needs of the community in times of disaster;
6. Extend technical and manpower support for the chapter personnel augmentation to cope up with the stipulated resources;
7. Develop effective response activity and promote inter-agency networking during operational coordination; and
8. To incite the spirit of volunteerism individuals.
Registration Fees:
500 Meter Kiddy Run is PhP 200.00
1K is PhP 250.00
3K & 6K is PhP 350.00
12K is PhP 450.00
21K is PhP 650.00 (To include: Singlet, Race bib, Finishers’ Certificates and Finisher’s Medal for 21K).
The 2nd Red Cross 143: Volunteer Run for Humanity, 500 Meter Kiddy Run to 3K is a non-competitive event while 6K to 21K is a competitive run and this is open to ALL. All donations for the Red Cross 143: Volunteer Run for Humanity is tax exempt per Republic Act No. 10072 (Red Cross Act of 2009). Your Company Name will be recognized in all collaterals for this event. Major sponsors will be acknowledged in all our promotions and marketing collaterals with your company logos. There is no limit to the number of volunteers that you can sponsor.
On November 11, 2012 (11.11.12), 4:00 a.m. at Hoopsdome, Lapu-Lapu City, we will not just be running for the sake of volunteerism. We will be running to create a culture that will define the Filipino nation. We appreciate your continued and relentless support in our efforts to alleviate human suffering anytime that disaster strikes in this country.
