Every late afternoon at around 5 pm my papa is so attentive watching a television show and unlike other father nosing with news channel papa is so tuned in just one show and it is the anime series Samurai X.

No, papa is not childish nor addicted to television shows he just like the anime series and it’s the only anime he watch before Naruto another anime series launched in the year 2009 or so which papa is also hooked.

It is worth remembering those times when mama and papa will have their petty argues because papa fail to fetch mama at work because papa is so hooked at Samurai X and he forgot about the time or papa getting a bit angry at mama because mama gets out of the office late that’s why he was not able to finish the anime episode for the day (our house is a 3 minute drive away from mamas office).

Rurouni Kenshin is the movie version for the anime series Samurai X. It is about a very skilled samurai known as batusai who leave the life of being a known assassin to a peaceful ordinary man. Batusai or Kenshin want to kill no more so instead of the usual bladed sword he brings with him an inverted bladed sword.

The movie is amazing plus Takeru Satoh is so gwapo making all girls gaga .lolz. As always the quality of Japanese movies has risen from horror to anime it is just perfect. The story line is not that far from the original series making all of us really relate on the movie. The fighting scenes are incomparable. In totality, the movie will make you awe and laugh at the same time.

Takeru Satoh - Rurouni Kenshin

The words of my papa are still fresh ” arang lamia ciguro ni ug esalida sa cine ate na ug mga tinood na tao ang nagda” papa referring to the anime series ( Having Samurai X as a movie with real people would be so great). Now that the anime series is in movie with real people I know how glad papa is right now and for sure he is the very first person who bought an IMAX ticket up there. I miss and love you papa.
